- ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - What do city bears do all day? Cameras attached to collars on four black and two brown bears are providing Alaska Department of Fish and Game officials with a peek into how Anchorage bears spend their days. ADN says state biologists have collected 60 hours of video. The footage shows bears sleeping, eating gull eggs, walking greenbelts and salivating over garbage, among other things. The collars were attached to the bears last summer. Not all the cameras survived. Fish and Game research biologist Sean Farley says the brown bears destroyed their collars.
