- ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - The UAA Hockey Alumni Association has issued a no-confidence vote in athletic director Steve Cobb. Association President Mark Filipenko told the Anchorage Daily News ( that the group of former UAA hockey players feels alienated and the vote has been years in the making. He says since the alumni group was formed a few years ago, it has raised more than $100,000 for UAA hockey and the athletic program. The move followed a no-confidence vote approved by the Alaska State Hockey Association over the weekend. It also comes when UAA is in the process of hiring a new hockey coach. Cobb declined comment Tuesday.
