- FAIRBANKS, Alaska (AP) - An autopsy has failed to determine the cause of a New Year's Day fire in the Fairbanks post office that ultimately killed a man. Fairbanks police on Tuesday released autopsy results, which determined Johnny Druck Wallis died of thermal burns five days after the fire at a Seattle hospital. However, the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner reports the manner of the death or the cause of the fire couldn't be determined, and police continue to investigate. Fairbanks police have said another man was seen by a cab driver with Wallis about 20 minutes before the fire. A customer checking mail late on New Year's Day found Wallis on fire, and extinguished it. Police have described the death as suspicious and against ask people with information to come forward.
