- ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - An Anchorage man has been sentenced to a year and a half in prison for stealing cash from mail shipments. Star Matulino was a cargo handler for ACE Air Cargo when he stole $130,000 from mail shipments. A judge last week ordered the 21-year-old man to pay restitution to the U.S. Postal Service, which was insured for the loss. The Anchorage Daily News reports that Matalino and two fellow cargo handlers pleaded guilty to federal mail theft charges in December. The other two received five years of probation and were ordered to pay restitution. An ACE manager says the company promptly fired all three men when it became aware of the mail theft allegations in 2012.
