State to offer free vaccines for infants next week

- JUNEAU, Alaska (AP) - Infants will be eligible for free vaccines throughout Alaska from April 20 to April 27 at state public health centers. State officials say in a release that public health centers will waive the cost of immunization for children up to two years and eleven months old during National Infant Immunization Week. Nine different vaccinations, some of which prevent against multiple diseases, will be offered to eligible infants. Parents need to call ahead and schedule an appointment for their children.
