- ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - A 27-year-old Anchorage man will serve nearly four years in prison for possessing and intending to distribute crack cocaine. U.S. District Court Judge Sharon Gleason on Tuesday sentenced Tristan Jamal Grant to 47 months. He was convicted in November. A release from the U.S. attorney's office says law enforcement found 1.7 grams of crack cocaine in 13 separate bundles when they executed a search warrant for unrelated cases. When he was arrested, officials said he have over $1,000 in cash and a digital scale. Police also found a loaded handgun partially exposed under the driver's seat of his car. Officials say the gun resulted in a higher sentence from Gleason, as did Grant's attempts to influence a witnesses and committing perjury on the witness stand.
