- ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - The FBI is warning Alaskans about a new email-based scheme that threatens death by a hit man. Acting Special Agent in Charge of the Anchorage office, Kevin Donovan, says in a release that the emails threaten the recipient to pay $10,000 to call off the hit. If they don't comply, the target will be killed. They also warn the email recipient that they are being watched, and if they try to contact police, their family will be killed. Donovan encourages anyone getting an email like this to contact the Anchorage FBI and file a complaint at www.ic3.gov.
