- ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - Anchorage-based KTUU-TV says it will construct a new building the city's midtown area, and expects to move in next year. Station president and general manager Andy MacLeod made the announcement Monday, hours after the NBC affiliate's request for a new building was approved by the board of directors at parent corporation Schurz Communications Inc., based in Mishawaka, Ind. Channel-2 News says the planned 40,000-square-foot building will be located at the intersection of 40th Avenue and Denali Street and will feature a high-definition television studio to serve viewers across the state. MacLeod says the new building will be about a third larger than the station's existing space, which is located on East Tudor Road.
