- KENAI, Alaska (AP) - A May 28 trial has been set for a 55-year-old Sterling man charged with multiple child pornography counts. The Peninsula Clarion reports Michael Padilla pleaded not guilty last week to 21 counts of child pornography distribution, four of child pornography possession and three counts of failure to register as a sex offender. State Trooper investigators say Padilla possessed more than 30 movie files containing pornographic images of children on a desktop computer and on a separate hard drive. Troopers also say Padilla, who is required to register as a sex offender, failed to report his change of homes, vehicle and job.
