- FAIRBANKS, Alaska (AP) - Alaska State Troopers say a 15-year-old Fairbanks boy was killed in what appears to be an accident involving a clothes dryer. The Fairbanks Daily News-Miner says Joseph Hines was killed Wednesday morning. A family member found his body in the afternoon. Trooper spokeswoman Beth Ipsen says it appears the teen was reaching for an object behind the dryer when he may have been electrocuted by an unprotected power source. Ipsen says it's also possible that the boy died from asphyxiation due to the position of his body. The state medical examiner's office will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
