- ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - State Troopers say an Anchor Point man has been arrested and charged with kidnapping. 53-year-old Ilya Gherman is accused of using a 9mm semi-automatic pistol and an AK-47 assault rifle to kidnap two females last week. He has been charged with two counts of kidnapping, two counts of assault and misconduct involving weapons. Troopers say on Feb. 12 he fired eight rounds into the floor and wall at his residence. When he fell asleep, troopers say the females fled bare-footed.  Troopers say an investigation revealed that Gherman threatened to shoot them if they tried to leave his residence.
