Erickson named new DMV director

- ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - There's a new director for the Alaska Division of Motor Vehicles. Amy Erickson, a former aide to U.S. Sen. Lisa Murkowski, will start her new job on Monday. Department of Administration Commissioner Becky Hultberg made the announcement in a release. Erickson previously served as Murkowski's administrative director in both Washington, D.C., and Anchorage. Erickson also has previous experience working as a legislative and committee aide in Juneau. She replaces Whitney Brewster, who accepted a position with the DMV in Texas last summer.
