- ANCHORAGE, Alaska - A man killed by gunfire in east Anchorage over the weekend has been identified.

The Anchorage Daily News says the man has been identified as 38-year-old Kirt Kaanoi.

Police spokeswoman Anita Shell says the shooting occurred early Saturday morning in an apartment in the Russian Jack area of the city. Kaanoi staggered out of the apartment and died. Police say two men were seen running from the apartment and a man later showed up at a local hospital with multiple gunshot

wounds. Police say they're trying to determine if the incidents are related.
