- ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - Alaska State Troopers say the search is on for a hunting guide who now is a fugitive. Troopers say Michael Roberts cut off his ankle monitor last week in Anchorage. He was out on bail for allegedly guiding without a guide's license, flying without a pilot's license and driving without a valid driver's license. The Anchorage Daily News reports that the 50-year-old Roberts disappeared from the home of this third-party custodian on Oct. 4. Troopers say he hasn't been seen since. Troopers say Roberts has fled from authorities before. In 1999, he ran from troopers who tried to arrest him after an undercover investigation was conducted. It was six months before he was caught outside of Trapper Creek.
