- FAIRBANKS, Alaska (AP) - An investigation into a fatal house fire in the Yukon River community of Galena has found no a definitive explanation for how the blaze started. The Daily News-Miner reported Saturday the investigation by a deputy state fire marshal was inconclusive. Terry and Kim Fair were killed in the June 22 fire. Terry Fair is general manager of radio station KIYU. He worked at the station for more than 10 years. Some Galena residents reported hearing an explosion from the direction of the home before the fire began.  A spokeswoman for the Alaska Department of Public Safety says the building was completely destroyed so it was difficult to find evidence. Beth Ipsen says there was no clear evidence of anything that would have caused an explosion. Galena is a community of 500 people about 270 miles west of Fairbanks.
