- ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - Anchorage police say a 3-day-old boy taken from an Anchorage hospital by his parents has been returned. Police in a statement say the infant, Max Galo, was delivered to police headquarters shortly before noon Wednesday, apparently in good condition. It was not disclosed who returned the child. Police obtained arrest warrants charging criminal non-support for his parents, Monica Vasquez and Taimata Galo Jr., shortly before the child was turned over to police. Police spokesman Dave Parker says both parents have been accounted for, but couldn't say if they were arrested. Detectives continue to investigate. Police on Tuesday issued an Amber Alert after Vasquez removed the child from the Alaska Native Medical Center. Parker says the Amber Alert worked as it should, and has now been canceled with the child's return.
