Game Board approves Fairbanks targeted moose hunts

- FAIRBANKS, Alaska (AP) - The Alaska Board of Game has approved targeted moose hunts near Fairbanks. The decision will allow designated hunters to kill moose that are injured, aggressive or nuisances. The Fairbanks Daily News-Miner reports the board has authorized similar hunts in the Matanuska-Susitna Borough. The moose would be killed by archers or hunters using a shotgun. Board member Pete Probasco of Palmer says it would be a good thing to have some of those moose end up in a freezer instead of on the hood of a car.
