- ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - Two children were ejected from a car and a third injured in a traffic crash Wednesday on a slippery Anchorage street. Anchorage police say the children's car seats were not installed properly. Police say driver James Orr was driving east on 15th near Sitka Street when he lost control of his sport utility vehicle and crossed the centerline. The SUV collided with a westbound SUV and a pickup. Police say Orr's 6-year-old daughter and 4-year-old son were ejected and received cuts to the face. His 9-year-old daughter suffered internal injuries inside the car. All four were taken to a hospital. The driver of the other SUV also was taken to a hospital with what police say are non-life-threatening injuries. Police cited Orr for not properly restraining children under 16.
