Police seek author of note that led to beaten teen

- ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - Police have released the name of a severely beaten, 18-year-old Alaska man who was found in an abandoned house after an anonymous note was left with police. Police said Thursday the man has been identified as James Clinton. Police discovered Clinton unconscious on Monday in a home that had been scheduled to be demolished Wednesday. He was found after officers at the University of Alaska Anchorage responded to a note slipped under their door indicating that Clinton could be found at the home more than two miles away in downtown Anchorage. University police summoned the Anchorage Police Department and officers found Clinton. He remains unconscious and in critical condition.
