Pizza parlor owner shot in attempted robbery

- ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - Anchorage police say the owner of a pizza restaurant was shot and critically injured in at attempted robbery. The owner of Original Capone's Pizza, 39-year-old Eric Ambris, was shot multiple times early Thursday morning. Police just after 1 a.m. took a call that shots had been fired near 12 Avenue and Gambell Street on the city's east side. They found Ambris with wounds to his chest and leg. He was rushed to a hospital. Police say they're seeking a 5-foot-11-inch slender man who wore a dark, hooded shirt and bluejeans. She says the man liked arrived and fled on foot.
