Anchorage man convicted of sexual assault

- ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - A 37-year-old Anchorage man has been convicted of sexually assaulting a woman who was drunk. The Anchorage District Attorney's office says in a release that Matthew Alexie was convicted Wednesday of first-degree sexual assault. He was accused of raping an intoxicated woman in a wooded area off Third Avenue in downtown Anchorage in May 2011. Alexie faces from between 40 and 60 years in prison when he's sentenced Feb. 28.
