Arctic Winter Games looking for volunteers

- FAIRBANKS, Alaska (AP) - The Arctic Winter Games are still looking for more than 1,000 volunteers to help stage the event. A volunteer rally is planned for next week at Lathrop High School, featuring cross-country skier Holly Brooks. Fairbanks will host the games for the first time since 1988, with thousands of athletes and visitors expected. The Fairbanks Daily News-Miner reports  want a total of 2,500 volunteers to help with the games. Organizers hope to have all volunteers committed by Dec. 31. The games will be held from March 15-22.
