Copper River salmon arrive in Anchorage

- ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - Copper River salmon has arrived in Anchorage stores and restaurants. Channel-2 News reports more than 75,000 sockeye salmon were caught on the river on the first day of the season. That's about half the catch allowed by Alaska Fish and Game. Many of the Alaskan fish were flown out to Seattle and further abroad. But on Friday, some arrived in Anchorage for local fans to enjoy.
